A view in the night...
Spencer up on the very top of the house! Yikes!
Spencer got the special privilege of helping dad put up the Christmas lights this year. We'll see how long he thinks this job is a cool one. They look awesome at nighttime. This year we started a new tradition by sitting down and having cinnamon rolls and cold milk and talking with each other about why we celebrate Christmas. We also talked to the kids about how blessed we are and how much we really have compared to many others in this world. We asked them to think about ways that we could try and help these people.
Landon said: "Give toys to them."
Brooklynne said: "Give them one of my favorite toys."
Drew said: "Give them some money."
Spencer said: "Give them some clothes."
We were very proud of them for their answers and hope that they will try to have the spirit of giving with them this Christmas season.
Afterwards we got busy with setting up and decorating the Christmas tree and spreading holiday cheer throughout our home as we listened to some of our favorite Christmas music! I love this time of the year, mostly because I get to share it with my wonderful family.

Looking Good! Your house always looks so festive, Janet! We have to wait a while longer to set up our tree so it won't be completely dead on Christmas, but seeing yours makes me excited for one! I can open my front door and smell the wreath for now.
